They're yet to file for divorce and they had determined to make the split an amicable one, but things have recently taken a very nasty turn between Marc Anthony and Jennifer Lopez. He's now going for sole custody, it has emerged.

Shortly after announcing that she was separated from Marc, Jennifer started dating a 24-year-old backup dancer, Casper Smart.

As things got more serious with him, reports intensified that Marc was very unhappy that his soon-to-be-ex-wife had already introduced her new lover to their two twins.

Us Weekly is now saying that the singer is so upset that Jennifer would act this way that he plans to make her “suffer” by going for sole custody of the twins Max and Emme.

“It's war! After what appeared to be a fairly civilized July split following seven years of marriage, things between Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony are getting seriously ugly, multiple insiders tell the new Us Weekly,” the publication writes in its online preview.

The root of all trouble seems to be Jennifer's relationship with Smart and especially the amount of time she spends with him in the presence of her two children.

“Lopez's newfound love with Casper Smart, a 24-year-old backup dancer who's already getting along swimmingly with Max and Emme, Lopez's 3-year-old twins with Anthony, 43,” the celebrity magazine writes.

Aside from that, Marc is also hurt and somewhat jealous that Jennifer is already moving on with someone knew, while he's still pining away for her.

He “hit the roof” when he first saw photos of Jennifer and Casper on vacation, says one spy. “It caused a huge blowup,” the insider adds.

“He wants to make Jennifer suffer because she's having fun with someone new, and he knows this will hurt her on the deepest level,” says the source.
