Divinity: Original Sin, a project built by Larian Studios, the same developers that made the original Divine Divinity series, will arrive on Linux.

Divine Divinity is a cRPG (computer role-playing game for really old players), which features classic turn-based combat, a non-linear SP campaign, and even an optional co-op capabilities.

Just like the original Divine Divinity, the game will also have an isometric perspective and it will retain many of the options that made it famous.

“In the game, you control a party of heroes and guide them on a quest to learn a forbidden magic called The Source. This powerful magic was outlawed many centuries ago by the Council of Seven, the rulers of Rivellon, for it is written that from Source the lord of Chaos will spawn,” reads the announcement on the Kickstarter website.

As for the Linux version, Larian Studios have said that they are planning to release a version of the open source platform, but they were unable to provide a timeline.

"We originally planned to make a Mac version. And once that runs, a Linux version is not far off. However, we pushed this back to focus on gameplay features," stated the developers.

More details about this amazing project can be found on the Kickstarter website.
