Larian Studios has revealed the Collector's Edition of their upcoming role-playing game Divinity: Original Sin, showing their backers what they can expect once production of the bundle is done.

Divinity: Original Sin has shown a lot of potential even from its alpha, representing a natural evolution of the role-playing genre, offering a more complex experience from the mechanics' point of view, while also delivering solid visuals on par with the capabilities of modern hardware.

Harnessing the know-how that the developers have acquired while making the previous titles in the Divinity series, the upcoming game sets to push the envelope of RPG design and offer a truly modern experience that is strongly grounded in the classic roots of the genre.

The Collector's Edition includes four games in the Divinity series, two copies of Divinity: Original Sin on two separate DVDs, along with download codes for Divine Divinity and Beyond Divinity.

Aside from the games, the pack comes with a slew of other goodies, such as the Zandalor's trunks and the Golden Grail DLC packs, Maradino's Alchemical Cards, used for in-game crafting, a cloth map of Andavale, Collector's Edition Stickers, a two-sided poster, the Collector's Edition Soundtrack on CD-ROM, a game manual, Zandalor's Deck of Playing Cards and Bellegar's RPG Dice.

Gamers who want to get the handful of goodies in the Collector's Edition of Larian Studios' upcoming role-playing game can do so exclusively through the Larian Vault, the company's online store.

The Collector's Edition is a limited run one-time-only type of affair, with only 1,500 versions created, in addition to the ones reserved to the game's Kickstarter backers, with a limited set of German, French and Polish editions to also be available via retail.

In addition to unveiling the Collector's Edition of Divinity: Original Sin, the latest Kickstarter update also reveals some of the improvements delivered by the game's recent update, including revamped enemy encounters and various tweaks to art and animation, as well as to the dialog system, some improved spells and skills, inventory sorting and much, much more.

Some other notable improvements are the new "Laptop Optimized" mode that will keep the game running smoothly on portable computers, complete with touchpad control support, and the activation of Steam Cloud saves, allowing players to pick up the game just where they left it, without being restricted to a particular physical device.

Divinity: Original Sin is currently in beta, available on Steam Early Access for PC and Mac, and its final release date is set to June 20. The Linux version of the game is also in the works and will land at a later date.
