There are quite a few days left until Halloween, and people all across the US are getting ready for this annual celebration of horrors.

Just in case anyone was thinking about baking some treats in order to mark the event, here is one noteworthy recipe: disturbingly realistic vegan finger cookies.

Apparently, once the dough is done with, all it takes is one skillful hand, all equipped with a toothpick, and carving in some skin wrinkles is a fairly easy thing to do.

After that, almond fingernails can be “glued” to the cookies with the help of jam, which can also be added on top of them for a gruesome, bloody effect.

They might not look like something one would enjoy eating on a regular basis, but they do seem to go hand in hand with the carved pumpkins and the terrifying costumes.

A complete list of ingredients and baking instructions is made available here.
