It's a case of Justin Bieber versus the police, and, so far, it looks like the police have cards in their favor. Police officers investigating the case of the egg attack involving Justin Bieber have sent the case over to the Los Angeles County District Attorney with a strong recommendation to prosecute for felony charges.

If you're not familiar with all that legal jargon, the translation is simple: Justin is in big trouble.

If the case were treated as a misdemeanor, it would have ended up with him paying a fine or receiving just a slap on the wrist, but as it stands, a felony prosecution could see the “Baby” hit maker go to jail or face deportation.

TMZ claims that a certain police Lt. Dave Thompson went off the record saying “I went to the D.A.'s Office today with the paperwork, and I want a felony.  Of course I want a felony.” A decision in the case is said to be reached in one week's time.

The investigation was started after one of Justin's neighbors complained to police the singer had pelted the front of his house with 20 eggs in the middle of the night, causing several tens of thousands of damage. In California, that qualifies as felony vandalism and it punishable with jail.

There was a video recording of the incident, but because it was pitch dark outside, you can only make out Justin's voice, taunting the neighbor as he screamed at him and asked him what he was doing.

It is said that the two have had previous run-ins over loud music played at Bieber's parties, and the pop star driving at dangerous speeds through the neighborhood.

At the moment, Justin is already under investigation in another case which accuses him of drag racing and driving under the influence in Miami. He was also put on the border watch list for infractions committed back home in Canada.
