The company promises that the filters are easy to apply with no bubbles

There are anti-glare screens, and some displays that don't suffer an impact to visibility from being exposed to sunlight, but most still have that nasty little problem with glare.

3M claims to have solved that problem though. It has released a series of Anti-Glare Filters which, when applied to an LCD, will prevent them from reflecting the sun.

There are filters for smartphones, tablets, laptops and even full-size monitors. Nothing big enough for 4K UHD TVs of 40+ inches though. Not yet anyway.

Then again, TVs aren't likely to be taken outside, and most owners do all they can to have it facing away from a window. Blinds usually handle whatever stray brightness tries to encroach upon your territory during an afternoon lounging session.

Anyway, the new Anti-Glare Filters are said to be easy to install, with no risk for annoying on-screen “bubbles.”

Touchscreens are supported, and there should be little risk for scratches and tears.

Furthermore, there are two forms of attachment: optically clear adhesive strips (washable), and slide mount tabs. Finally, since they're frameless, it shouldn't be obvious that they even exist. All for the price of $36 / €26 to $44 / €32 for laptops, and $70 / 50 to $98 / €70 for desktops monitors. Apparently, the smartphone/tablet screens aren't out yet.
