Miley Cyrus and Jonas Brother singer Nick Jonas may no longer be dating, but they’re still contractually bound to work together for Disney. In fact, the two, together with the other two boys from the band, are already back in the studio working on Disney’s remake of the 1985 classic “We Are the World,” called “Pass It On,” E! Online informs.

According to the publication, the four young stars are almost done recording the track, and are now preparing to start shooting for the video. Word in the industry has it that shooting will start as early as today, but no estimated release date – neither for the single, nor for the video – has yet been made public. The few details available speak, though, of this song keeping with the spirit of the original, which, as fans must remember, was penned by Lionel Richie and Michael Jackson, and included artists like Lionel Richie, Stevie Wonder, Tina Turner, Michael Jackson, Diana Ross, Bruce Springsteen, Cyndi Lauper, Bob Dylan and Ray Charles, to name just a few.

“E! News has learned that Miley Cyrus is set to reteam with her ex-flame (and Mouse House coworker) Nick Jonas as part of an all-star recording session for a song called ‘Pass It On’ – a track an inside source calls ‘Disney’s version of ‘We Are the World.’ It’s about kindness and passing it on.’ Fellow Jonases Joe and Kevin are also among those on board for the track, which is being recorded later this week. The tune was penned by Adam Anders and Nikki Hassman, who wrote Cyrus’ Hannah Montana hit ‘Hoedown Throwdown.’ Cyrus, the JoBros and other Disney musicmakers will shoot the ‘Pass It On’ video on Saturday.” the e-zine informs in one of today’s posts.

Those expecting to see some hard feelings between former couple Miley and Nick, or to hear talk about fighting while working might as well put their minds at ease, the same source says. According to Miley herself, not only is there no bad blood between her and her former flame, but they’ve even remained close friends and have a very beautiful relationship still going on. Talks of fights and feuding are all made up by the media, the Disney star explains.

“We don’t hate each other. We really love each other. He’s really cool, and I’m happy we’ve been able to stay friends. Everyone thinks that me and the Jonas Brothers have this big feud going on, and me and Nick are really close friends now. We talk all the time and he’s one of my best friends.” Miley said in an interview with Ryan Seacrest from E! News the other day.
