If you're already on Windows 8.1 and using Metro apps on a regular basis, you most likely know that Disney brings some of the most addictive games in the store and the company has every reason to continue doing it.

Disney today presented Checkout Challenge, a new game that calls for users to try out their grocery scanning skills on a device running Windows 8.1.

The game comes with lots of objectives, but also with a plethora of special items, such as a Frenzy boost that allows players to use tapping to scan items faster.

“Do you have what it takes to climb the ranks from ‘Checker-in-Training’ to “Checkout Chairman”?!? Test out your grocery scanning skills in this fast-paced, deceptively simple supermarket challenge! GRAB groceries, SCAN barcodes, COMPETE for the highest score!” the game description reads.

Checkout Challenge works on every device that runs Windows 8.1, including desktops and tablets, but for a truly unique experience, you're highly recommended to give it a shot on a touch-capable device.

Unfortunately, the game is not available with a freeware license, but with a $4.99 (€3.8) fee, so you need to purchase the full version in order to enjoy all it has to offer. Given the quality of the other Disney games now in the store, this new title might really be worth a try.
