The development team working on the new Disney Infinity mix of toys and video game experiences is launching a new trailer that’s designed to show how the Toy Box mode can be used to power complex racing game experiences.

The team states that players will be able to “build your own tracks and race your own way with custom vehicles, mounts, and props from some of your favorite Disney properties.”

The video itself is pretty interesting because it shows a modular approach to track creation and implies that the entire racing game will be oriented towards arcade mechanics rather than any sort of realism.

Disney Infinity will allow players to buy toys and then connect them to a video games world, using characters from Monsters Inc, The Pirates of the Caribbean and The Incredibles.

The company has suggested that the cast of Star Wars or Marvel comic might be added at a later date.
