The developers working on Disney Infinity are delivering the first look at the cast of The Avengeres in the upcoming Marvel-themed update to the game in a new trailer that focuses on the superheroes that players will be able to control.

The team explains that, "Power up with Earth's mightiest heroes and stop Loki's cold-hearted plans to freeze New York City - and the world!"

The Avengers-themed Star Pack content for Disney Infinity will introduce three core Marvel figurines: Iron Man, Thor and Black Widow.

Gamers who also want to get access to Captain America, Hulk and Hawkeye will have to pay for them separately.

Disney has promised that it will be offering more details on the new superhero content for its very successful titles in the coming months.

It's unclear whether the company, which currently owns the comic book company Marvel, will introduce more heroes or even villains in the near future.

Rumors are also suggesting that Star Wars content will be added to Disney Infinity, probably when the first movie of the rebooted series will be launched.

The franchise that combines toys and video game content has been selling very well despite its tough competition with Skylanders from Activision.
