Rumors have been swirling around for a while about the Star Wars content that will be part of the new version of Disney Infinity, and now the team in charge of the game is ready to confirm their presence and offer some details about the kind of experience it is planning to create.

Game Informer says that the pack-in playset for the title, which arrives in the fall, will include Anakin Skywalker and his apprentice Ahsoka, and it will follow them around as they try to find out how a new droid army was created and by whom.

The narrative will take place after the events of Star Wars: Episode II and players will be able to take part in melee combat, big land engagements and space action.

Figures sold separately for Disney Infinity 3.0 will include Yoda, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Darth Maul.

Another big Star Wars content linked to the title is called Rise Against the Empire and features moments from the original trilogy.

Gamers will be able to get access to Luke Skywalker and Leia, while Chewbacca, Han Solo, and Darth Vader will be sold individually, allowing gamers to create their own scenarios and mix timelines at will.

The team at Avalanche in charge of Disney Infinity 3.0 has worked with Ninja Theory and Sumo Digital in order to change some of the core elements of the game, including melee combat and driving.

The Force Awakens will also be featured in the figure-based title

The new Star Wars movie will also be featured in the coming sets, but no details about it are offered at the moment, presumably in order to make sure that no info about the narrative leaks out before it arrives in cinemas.

Those who might not like the science fiction saga can also pick up content linked to the Inside Out movie from Pixar, with figures based on Joy, Disgust, Anger, Fear, and Sadness.

Disney Infinity 3.0 also gives gamers a chance to pick up Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Sam Flynn and Quorra from Tron: Legacy, Mulan, Olaf, and other unannounced characters.

Special new Power Disks are also set to be launched in the coming months. Disney Infinity 3.0 will be available on the PlayStation 4, the Xbox One, the PC, the Wii U, and last-gen consoles, but no official date has been mentioned so far.
