Disney Infinity is going big on Star Wars this fall, and the developers in charge of the title are ready to deliver some more details about the new Rise Against the Empire set of figurines and adventures and some images focused on actual gameplay.

Fans will be able to get access to Like Skywalker, the well-known Jedi hero, Leia Organa, the leader of the Rebels, Han Solo, smuggler extraordinaire, and Chewbacca, his loyal sidekick.

Only the first two characters will be part of the actual playset, and gamers will have to purchase the final two separately.

Tatooine, Hoth, Endor and space locations will all be featured in the actual gameplay of Star Wars: Rise Against The Empire in Disney Infinity 3.0, and gamers will even be able to take a seat in an X-Wing and attack the Death Star.

Disney is focusing on the vehicle-based options that will be included in the new playset, with gamers able to take control of snow speeders, AT-ATs, starfighters and more, with the core mechanics redesigned from the ground up.

The Millenium Falcon can also be controlled in Star Wars: Rise Against The Empire.

Gamers also get a range of customization options, with new power disks offered and special costumes available for Luke and Leia.

Disney Infinity is also getting a second trilogy playset

Disney is also giving fans a chance to play with the heroes of the second movie trilogy this fall, with a different cast of characters and adventures included.

Anakin, Yoda, Asoka and Obi-Wan will all be playable, and the focus will be on special lightsabers and different fighting techniques for each of them.

Disney Infinity is also getting access to Inside Out content as well as to Olaf, Mulan, Quorra, Sam Flynn, Mickey Mouse, Minnie, Ultron, and Hulkbuster Iron Man.

The developers have said that they are also upgrading a number of core elements of the game to make sure that gamers have more options when they tackle the included adventures.

Disney Infinity 3.0 will have to deal with competition coming from the new Skylanders module, called SuperChargers, which adds vehicles to the game as well as more characters.

LEGO Dimensions is also aiming for the same market and will focus on the various franchises that Warner Bros. owns.
