14 DAY TRIAL // The 2.0 version of Disney Infinity will apparently launch at some point in August of this year and will integrate heroes taken from the Marvel comic book universe, as well as objects associated with them and vehicles, all of which are designed to introduce more gameplay opportunities for players.
The information comes from a page on an official fan site for the Disney universe, which has since then been removed, but can still be accessed via the Google Cache.
The official reveal for Disney Infinity 2.0 will be made on April 30.
It’s unclear whether the coming launch involves an entirely new game, with a new physical portal and toys that have different characteristics, or if it is only an update to the current available title.
Disney has offered a teaser already, which confirms that The Avengers will be included in the game and that Captain America will lead them.
Disney Infinity allows gamers to explore a complex video game world with characters that are taken from a variety of series that the company has created.
Rumors are also suggesting that Star Wars content will be added to the game world at some point, probably when the new movie is launched in 2015.
