Disney Has Big Unannounced Title Ready for 2013

Video game developer and publisher Disney Interactive has revealed that it has a high profile unannounced game in development, which might suggest that a new Kingdom Hearts title will soon be announced for Western markets.

Jay Rasulo, the chief financial officer of the company, has told the audience at the Communacopia conference organized by Goldman Sachs that, “We start the year right out with a big title Epic Mickey 2, and another big title that hasn’t been announced yet, but coming mid-year.”

Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two is set to be launched during November of this year, which means that the new Disney Interactive game will probably be launched during the middle of 2013.

Despite its media clout, Disney has had limited success in the video game space and the biggest franchise based on its characters has been Kingdom Hearts, which is created in partnership with Square Enix and uses Japanese role-playing mechanics.
