DuckTales: Remastered is one of the most popular 8-bit titles of all time, so mobile users will be pleased to know that the game is now available for all three major operating systems: Android, iOS and Windows Phone.
As expected, the game made it first on Android and iOS, whereas Windows Phone players were able to purchase it one day later.
As one of the best games ever released by Disney, DuckTales: Remastered doesn't come for free. Those who wish to adventure in a world of magic that will take them through places like Amazon, Himalayas, Transylvania, African mines and the Moon will have to come up with $9.99.
DuckTales: Remastered costs the same amount on each of the three major platform, so no matter what smartphone you own, you'll still be paying $9.99.
The Remastered version comes with a few additions and improvements
But why is it called Remastered? According to Disney, the animated sprites are hand-drawn and the game features richly painted level backgrounds.
The storyline has been expanded, along with character narration, and developers have also added a digitally enhanced soundtrack boasting modern amplified iterations of the classic melodies.
It's also worth mentioning that the game features the original voice talents, including Alan Young, Frank Welker, Russi Taylor, and June Foray. There's also a new Easy mode for casual players, as well as a new Extreme more for those experienced.
DuckTales: Remastered plays like a side-scrolling platformer game where players will have to battle and defeat villains in epic boss fights while collecting gems and power-ups with invincibility and extra hearts to increase health.
