Disney Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Robert Iger, has confirmed that, in the light of recent tragedies like the Newtown shooting, he'll personally examine any violent video games that will be made by the company's Interactive Studios division.

The mass shooting that happened at the Sandy Hook has once again shined a spotlight on video games and what role they play in triggering or nurturing violent tendencies in children.

In order to prevent any controversy, Disney boss Robert Iger has confirmed, via Deadline, that any violent content will be examined before it gets released.

"At Disney there's very little [violent content], but I still want to make sure we're asking ourselves the right questions in terms of that standard and also [ensure] we're willing to be a part of a dialogue in today's world that I think is pretty necessary in terms of what our role is and what our role should be," he said.

As of yet, however, Disney Interactive Studios only has one game in development – Disney Infinity – and it doesn't feature any sort of traditional violence.
