Video game publisher Disney is ready to offer more details on the recently announced Infinity toy and virtual world mix, including the prices that players will have to pay in order to get access to the entire experience.

Disney Infinity will use characters from the multimedia company and from movie creator Pixar and will give players the chance to take part in quests and also create their own storylines.

The pricing list includes:

Starter Pack - 75 dollars (56 Euro)
Play set pack – 35 dollars (26 Euro)
Disney Infinity figure – 12.99 dollars (9.77 Euro)
3 pack figure set – 30 dollars (23 Euro)
Power Disk pack – 5 dollars (3.76 Euro)

It’s unclear whether players will be able to pick exactly the characters they want out of the 17 strong line-up or whether they will have to rely on random distribution to get access to them all.

The Power Disks will work as customization options for the core characters and allow each player to adapt them to his play style and his cosmetic requirements, adding unique new powers and gadgets to use.

The screenshots have shown that characters will include the cast of The Incredibles, characters from Monster Inc., Captain Jack Sparrow from Pirates of the Caribbean and more.

It’s not yet clear whether the game universe will be shared between players or whether each of them will only deal with his own characters and quests.

Disney also says that more characters and content will be introduced after Infinity is launched.

The business model is similar to that used by rival publisher Activision for Skylanders, a franchise that has surpassed expectations both in its original incarnation and after the launch of the Giants expansion.

Disney Infinity will be available on the PC, the PlayStation 3 from Sony, the Xbox 360 from Microsoft, the Wii U and the Wii from Nintendo and will also have a mobile companion app.
