Bethesda has confirmed that its upcoming Dishonored game on the PC will be made available via Valve’s Steam digital distribution platform and will make use of the Steamworks suite of services.

We’ve learned quite a few things about Dishonored in recent weeks, the newest project from Arkane Studios that will be published by Bethesda, including its October release date.

Now, the two companies have confirmed, via the game’s Twitter account, that the PC version of Dishonored will use the Steamworks suite of services from Valve’s Steam.

This means that Dishonored, just like previous Bethesda games, including The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim or RAGE, will support services like cloud saving and achievements.

No other details were given, but it’s certainly great to hear that Dishonored on the PC will use Steamworks and not some other service, like Games for Windows Live.

Dishonored is out on October 9, in North America, and on October 12, in Europe, for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.
