A Utah mother was so outraged by some t-shirts featuring the image of a nearly-naked woman that she bought every last item in the local PacSun store's stock.

During a shopping session with her 18-year-old son on Saturday at the University Mall in Orem, Judy Cox felt so offended when she saw the t-shirts that she decided to buy them all in order to prevent others from seeing them on display.

The garments in question bore graphic images of half-dressed models in provocative poses.

"The bottom of one woman is completely exposed, uncovered and it's a very provocative pose that she's in," said Cox, as reported by Gawker Media. "Clearly it was offensive and I was most concerned about the youth and the children that would be viewing this."

Cox expressed her disapproval in a conversation with the store manager, and was told that the complaint would be forwarded to corporate office, because the shirt could not be removed without their consent.

In response, the woman purchased $567 (€412) worth of t-shirts, but she plans to return them for a refund one day before the end of PacSun's 60-day return policy.

The management representatives at the mall confirmed that other costumers raised complaints about the PacSun t-shirts.

Cox emphasized that her purpose was to make it clear that this type of imagery is not appropriate for public display.

“These shirts clearly cross a boundary that is continually being pushed on our children in images on the Internet, television and when our families shop in the mall,”  Cox said in an email cited by the aforementioned media outlet.

The woman even went as far as to meet with Orem city attorney Greg Stephens on Tuesday to discuss whether the displaying of the t-shirts violated city code or not.

Stephens explained to her that she needed to file a complaint with the police, which would decide if the issue needed to be sent to the city attorney, a procedure that could take a lot of time.
