Codemasters and Warner Bros. have confirmed that the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of Dirt Showdown, the new destruction-oriented racing game, have been delayed a couple of weeks in North America.

Dirt Showdown was set to appear in the following weeks in Europe and North America for platforms like the PC, PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360.

Sadly, Codemasters has just modified the release schedule of the game by pushing back the North American PS3 and Xbox 360 versions.

As such, Dirt Showdown is set to be launched on May 25 in Europe for the PC, PS3, and Xbox 360.

In North America, however, PC owners can get Dirt Showdown on May 29, while PS3 and Xbox 360 owners will be able to enjoy the racing game on June 12.

While the delay is unfortunate, judging by what we saw from the quick look we had at the game’s demo, Dirt Showdown is more than worth the wait.
