Paul Schrader has nothing but nice words to say about Lohan after one week

Now that she's wrapped Lifetime's biopic “Liz & Dick,” Lindsay Lohan is working on another film, “The Canyons” from director Paul Schrader. After just one week of working with her, Schrader has nothing but nice things to say.

Considering how much press Lindsay used to get for her totally unprofessional conduct on movie sets, this is a most welcome change, especially for her fans, who have been rooting for this comeback.

“LINDSAY. Seven days in, first full week completed. Lindsay Lohan is a huge fan of Hollywood glamour and performances from the Golden Era. Working with her every day on varied scenes I've been making a mental checklist of classic movie performances she's touched upon,” Schrader writes on the film's official Facebook page.

He even goes on to compare her with some of the most iconic female performers of all times – now that's high praise!

“There's has been a lot of Ann Margaret, some Gena Rowlands and Faye Dunaway and of course some bits of Liz Taylor and Monroe as well as a little Rita Hayworth and even Gene Tierney (although the last may be more my creation than hers). Oh yeah, and Angie Dickinson. And Lee Remick. And Shelley Winters...,” the director writes.

The video above is the first official “trailer” for “The Canyons” – it might look like a tour of LA but it's actually the first promo for the film, which has only been shooting for a week.
