Fashion designers came up with another interesting trend in wedding rings by combining dinosaur bones with meteorite pieces and gold to make some unique timeless love statements for future newlyweds.

“A diamond is forever, but a dinosaur bone is ancient and if your love has an old soul then this wedding band is a perfect match,” the designers of the unique pieces of jewelry declare according to Trendhunters. The dinosaur bones are over 65 million years old and for some may seem even more appealing than diamonds of precious jewels.

The company that created the rings, called Jewelry by Johan, offer customers timeless pieces of history to symbolize their love. The custom rings are also adorned with precious or semi-precious stones, different types of gold and other unique natural materials. The prices for these handcrafted rings range from $450 (€331) to almost $1800 (€1,324).

The dinosaur rings are created after the “fossilized form of the bone is replaced by quartz and take up a brownish black hue with speckles of red, yellow and blue.” Customers also have the chance to put their own ideas into the design of the special rings suggesting different models or materials than can be combined with the existing pieces.

These are not the only pieces of jewelry to be made from unusual materials, rings or earrings made from human breast milk combined with plastic or recycled coconut shells also gathered some interest from jewelry passionate.

Some may say that diamond rings are overrated and an unusual combination of materials may be more efficient in expressing one's feelings. It is rather weird combining dinosaur bones with meteorite pieces taking into consideration the fact that the last one led to the first one's extinction, but that only makes the rings even more unique.
