A stranger's gift of kindness has gone viral this week. The diner paid for the dinner of a family of three – a single mother and her two kids.

WDTV reports that a woman from Raleigh has received a heartwarming letter from the man paying her bill at a Pizza Hut in Durham.

"I do not know your back story, but I have had the privilege of watching you parent your children for the past 30 minutes. I have to say thank you for parenting your children in such a loving manner," the stranger, identifying himself as Jake, writes.

The woman has a 4-year-old daughter and a 6-year-old son. Her son is living with Asperger's syndrome, a functional form of autism.

He has also been diagnosed with ADHD. To top it off, she has been notified about her daughter bullying children at school lately.

It's not often that she gets a quiet Friday night, as she usually has to calm down her kids when they get too noisy.

This Friday, she was faced with her son's medication wearing off by 6 p.m., and she had to talk to him to calm him down and teach him stories to have him behave.

"I have watched you teach your children about the importance of respect, education, proper manners, communication, self control, and kindness all while being very patient. I will never cross your path again but am positive that you and your children have amazing futures.

"Keep up the good work and when it starts to get tough do not forget that others may be watching and will need the encouragement of seeing a good family being raised. God bless!" Jake tells her.

Not only did he foot the bill, but he also left a gift card for the family to use at a later time.
