United States President, Barack Obama was asked to sign another iPad, this time at a NATO summit in Lisbon, Portugal. The President is at his second such encounter with the Apple tablet, following a rally in Seattle for Senator Patty Murray, where Obama was kind enough to offer a digital autograph to a person handing him the Apple device running Adobe’s Ideas (drawing) app.

According to reports, it was actually a NATO iPad that Obama signed with visible enthusiasm. “I’ve done this once before,” he said.

There are no details about the actual application that was used to allow Obama to scribble on the iPad’s screen, but there is a good chance it was the same Adobe Ideas app used by Sylvester Cann at a rally in Seattle for Senator Patty Murray, where President Barack Obama made an appearance to the delight of the attending crowd.

A digital sketchbook, Ideas is a companion for the professional design applications from Adobe, including Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop.

With the app, users can “sketch design concepts while sitting in a cafe, capture and store color themes while browsing through the photos on your phone, or jot down notes on a pdf or photo,” Adobe explains. “Any time you need to explore creative ideas, Adobe Ideas is there with you.”

Sylvester had already written on the iPad’s screen “Mr. President, sign my iPad” and left plenty of room for Obama’s presidential signature. The person handing Obama an iPad in Lisbon last week did the same, making it easy for the President to make a few swipes with his finger and get on with his presidential activities.
