14 DAY TRIAL // Digi International has announced today the release of its Digi TransPort WR44 all-in-one cellular router that also sports an integrated Wi-Fi access point. According to the company, the new device delivers high-speed connectivity by combining a 3G cellular router, GPS, Wi-Fi connectivity, as well as security, advanced routing, an Ethernet switch, and telemetry functionality.

Moreover, it can also deliver both primary and back-up connectivity to office networks, and it also comes with security options that make it a great option for remote payment processing within a PCI-DSS approved network.
The company also states that the Digi TransPort WR44 comes with various power options and with multiple mounting possibilities, as well as with state-of-the-art security and firewall features (stateful packet inspection and integrated IPSec VPN) and with advanced dynamic routing. The enterprise class protocols that come with the new device include BGP, OSPF and VRRP+, and the router is also said to include auto sensing, auto failure and auto recovery features.
The multifunction router delivers flexibility and connectivity options that can be considered great for an industry-specific device, the company states. It comes with a wide range of serial ports (async or sync), with GPS or I/O telemetry modules, as well as with a USB port and a four-port Ethernet switch.
