Story aggregator Digg is out with an updated iPhone client which supports video and delivers fixes for the people who need them.

According to its creators, “[Digg turns] the Internet's vast and cacophonous flood of articles, blog posts, magazine pieces, status updates, photos, and videos into the elegant and endlessly engrossing mix known as Digg.”

Digg 5.3 introduces Digg Video, which comes with the tagline “Everything you need to see” and looks a lot like the web-based version. Said update also comes with a few fixes. Users are promised faster scrolling and fewer crashes.

Digg Reader is also included – “a fast, clean, and simple real-time reading app.” Users get full iOS 7 support (including Background App Refresh and Dynamic Type), support for VoiceOver (for the visually impaired), and integration with Instapaper, Pocket, and Readability, for offline reading. You can download Digg 5.3 on any iPhone, iPod touch or iPad that can handle iOS 6.
