You might as well forget about your favorite shades or your designer bag this season, because the latest “it” item could very well be a bottle of Coca Cola. Karl Lagerfeld has unveiled 3 new designs for Diet Coke, his latest collaboration with the brand.

Back when he was heavier, a time Karl doesn’t remember with pleasure, he reportedly lost a whopping 90 pounds with Diet Coke and steamed vegetables, and nothing much.

A fan of the beverage ever since, he was more than happy when he was asked to create a designer bottle for Coca Cola.

This is now his second collection and it brings three new models, as the photo attached also proves: they all have in common Karl’s silhouette next to the writing.

Speaking of Karl, the collection was first introduced in Paris, the capital of fashion, where the famed designer and countless lookalikes took audiences by surprise, as Harper’s Bazaar reports.

“An army of white-haired Lagerfeld-lookalikes invaded Paris last night to celebrate the Chanel designer’s second collaboration with Coca-Cola Light,” the magazine says.

“Complete with Uncle Karl’s trademark stiff-white collars and fingerless leather-driving gloves, the ten-fold doppel-gangers wielded trays of the exclusively designed iconic glass bottles,” Harper’s writes.

“In glossy white and gun-metal grey with a hint of pink, the three designs come emblazoned with a distinctive silhouette of the man himself,” the mag points out.

In previous interviews, Karl was asked about how he felt about Coca Cola (he’s known to be against everything and anything that fattens) and it was then that he first openly spoke about his love for the fizzy drink.

So, after the success of the 2010 collection, he thought about spicing things up a bit.

“I love this bottle but it’s time for a new one. Actually I want to do three bottles. I loved what we did last year but I will love 2011 even more. I’m delighted about this collaboration,” Karl said.
