Diddy’s Gift to 16-Year-Old Son: Maybach, Check for $10,000

Rapper Diddy never really knew what it meant to keep things under the radar. Always the man to party in style and, come to think of it, do everything else in style, the star threw the most fabulous Sweet Sixteen party for his son Justin Dior, including a lineup of performers to die for and gifts like a brand new Maybach and a check for no less than $10,000, GateCrasher informs.

Diddy likes to party, which is why whatever event that has him as organizer is classified as exclusive and A-list. What with MTV cameras also around to shoot an episode for “My Super Sweet Sixteen,” Diddy made sure that his son’s 16th birthday party would be an event he’d remember for the rest of his life. And, while other kids of Justin’s age receive some second hand car to help them move around faster than on foot, he got a brand new Maybach (complete with a chauffeur) and a check for $10,000.

“Diddy had his eldest son sit above the packed crowd on a throne that was on the stage, all while MTV cameras rolled for an upcoming episode of ‘My Super Sweet Sixteen.’ And the line-up of performers wasn’t too shabby, either. The crowd went wild when the likes of Fabolous, Lil’ Kim and Jim Jones took to the stage to perform. Diddy also didn’t skimp on the gifts. He presented Justin with a brand-new silver Maybach (which sat outside the W. 28th St. hot spot wrapped in a red bow) and a uniformed driver to escort him around New York City – because, at 16, Justin is just now learning how to drive,” the aforementioned publication writes.

“In a smaller – but just as exorbitant – package: The doting dad gave his son a check for a cool $10,000, which we hear the miniphilanthropist has decided to donate to Yele Haiti. And while the kids were having good, clean fun downstairs, the celebrities that attended the fete retreated to a private upstairs section for a more adultlike experience,” GateCrasher further reports. Photos taken on the occasion indeed show Justin Dior on a throne placed above the rest of the crowd – there is no car in sight though.

Justin’s Sweet Sixteen party took place at New York’s M2 Ultralounge, and will air in one of the upcoming episodes of MTV’s “My Super Sweet Sixteen” reality show.
