Sean 'Diddy' Combs has publicly apologised to Tyson Beckford.
The model hit him with a $5 million (GBP2.7 million) lawsuit in August.

Beckford claimed that the rap mogul's Sean John clothing label owed him money after using his image when his contract had expired, without asking for his consent.

The model added that he was only paid $600,000 (GBP330,000) of the contractual $1.2 million (GBP660,000) he alleges he agreed to.

Diddy is said to heve talked to Beckford during a fashion show on September 16, and set up their differences.

Combs told AllHipHop.com: "He's an icon and (I respect him) for what he's done for black people in the fashion industry and I'm going to make sure that we get together and we straighten it out. It's not a problem."

The rapper added: "He's somebody that I respect and in fashion, sometimes you decide not to go with a model for another season - its regular practice. Apparently, there was something still on the website. It wasn't clear.

I apologise to him for any discomfort that he incurred. I'm doing my best to make sure that gets rectified, but its not like I owe him money or anything like that."
