Some women would (and do) live on crumbs to lose weight, but actress Diane Kruger is a stranger to their plight. In a new interview, the star says she has moments when she loses weight by simply forgetting to eat.

Speaking to the latest print issue of Hello! Magazine (quotes via CB), Diane reveals some of her beauty tricks and the secrets for maintaining her figure.

As it turns out, she really doesn't have that many: she is a very active person and does a lot of outdoors activities, such as cycling and hiking, and she avoids overprocessed foods.

At the same time, though, she is also very lucky in the sense that she doesn't gain weight and / or can shed the pounds without specifically aiming to do so.

“I do watch what I eat, but not for weight reason. It will sound really pretentious, but when I am really busy I will forget to eat,” Diane says.

“I feel like I am a little skinny right now because I have just finished a movie and have been flying lots. I try to avoid all processed food, too,” the actress goes on to explain.

Keeping active is essential for maintaining your figure, Kruger stresses.

“I only dance when I go out. For exercise, I tend to like the outdoors. In Paris, I rent a bike in the street and cycle around, and in LA I live up in the hills so I go hiking a lot. I like to stay fit by being generally active,” she says.

In the same interview, Diane explains how she came to do her own makeup and styling even for red carpet events because she wanted to still be able to recognize herself in photos.

Considering one of the leading young fashionistas of the day, as well as an exquisite beauty, Diane claims her secret for a perfect skin is 9 hours of sleep every night and a special facecream (Roseliane d’Uriage) you can only get in pharmacies in France.

“I try to get nine hours’ sleep a night – it’s really that simple. I also noticed a great improvement in my skin when I gave up smoking. There are no secret potions, though,” Diane says.
