She wasn’t asked back on the show because Lea Michele and Ryan Murphy “dislike” her

“Glee” will say goodbye to Finn and the actor who played him, Cory Monteith, on a special episode that airs tomorrow, October 10, 2013. One cast member who won’t be included on the tribute is Dianna Agron who, ironically, played Finn’s girlfriend earlier on the show.

According to reports online, Cory’s girlfriend Lea Michele and the series creator Ryan Murphy “dislike” Dianna, so they decided that her character should not be included on “The Quarterback” episode.

Speaking of which, above is a TV promo for it.

“It’s shocking, because even though she’s not contracted for this season, many other actors returned to pay tribute to Cory… even ones with less of a story connection to Finn than Dianna had! Remember, she played his GIRLFRIEND on the series, and was a major part of his storyline,” says an insider.

“[Michele and Murphy] intensely dislike Dianna and have both worked to marginalize her as much as possible. They never saw her as a team player. They simply did not want her sharing the glory for this very special episode,” adds the spy.

However, considering that Murphy said shooting the episode was an extremely painful, heartbreaking experience for everyone involved, if Agron was deliberately left out, my guess is it wasn’t because they didn’t want her “sharing the glory.”
