Mobile phone made picture of the game's cover sent to us by inside source

As we have told you earlier today, we have just received something everybody could (and should) call A BOMB. Even though a very reliable inside source is involved in this story and it is something we consider 100% trustworthy, feel free not to believe it (especially because most of the people will consider it an April fool's joke). But we have a few details about the hack and slash game that is rumored to be officially announced this summer - Diablo 3.

First, you can see the packshot pictured in the upper left corner (click to enlarge) and it is exactly how the DVD box will look like. We've asked for a better resolution picture (as you can see, this one is made with a mobile phone), as well as more images - including a shot with the DVD. However, our inside source told us that he or she (we can't give you any information regarding our source) took a big risk by taking this picture with the mobile phone - and he or she really doubts access to it will be granted soon. However, we have some answers to a few questions and it is really unlikely we'll get more until some official data surfaces the web...

So here is what we have on Diablo 3, according to our source:

1. The packshot is NOT final. The necromancer on the cover might be changed with the final boss - Hades. (Yes, there seems to be a final boss and his name lets us believe we'll go deeeeeep into the undergrounds to find him). 2. The game is a PC exclusive (at the moment, at least), it will feature an online co-op mode of up to 8 players, but it has no MMO part implemented (and the developers are not taking this matter into consideration). 3. The single player experience offers 60 hours of gameplay (which can be extended to 120 hours if one decides to complete all the side quests) and it will have 12 different endings (6 of them being class-specific). 4. There will be six different classes for the players to choose from and 18 different professions (3 for each class) - but we have no details about that. 5. No system requirements are known yet but, according to our source, "if you can play Crysis on low, you'll have no problem playing D3".

That is what we know for now. We're trying to find out even more but, as I said, our source would like to keep a low profile at the moment.

UPDATE: Yes, folks, this was nothing but an April 1st joke. Hopefully noboy went to pre-order Diablo 3. Anyway, you shouldn't worry too much: the game will be launched! (eventually).
