Diablo III Intro Cinematic Introduces Leah, Falling Star

Developer Blizzard revealed the opening cinematic for its upcoming Diablo III hack and slash for all those who are interested in the game, showing old series hand Deckard Cain and his niece Leah as they witness the first stage of a new apocalypse.

The first half of the intro is made up of stylish comic book like frames that depict a final battle between good and evil with some fairly well known players while the second half shows Deckard engulfed by a falling star that pierces the ground.

Blizzard had already shown the intro to those who have managed to get into the Diablo III closed beta stage.

Diablo III is currently confirmed as arriving on the PC during the first quarter of 2012 and Blizzard has confirmed that it is also working on a version of the game for the PlayStation 3 from Sony and he Xbox 360 from Microsoft.
