A lot more details about Diablo 3: Ultimate Evil Edition have appeared from the Blizzard PAX East panel, confirming some great improvements that are seemingly exclusive to the console edition of the game, as they aren't available yet for the PC or Mac platforms.

Diablo 3 launched first on PC and Mac back in 2012 and reached in 2013 the PS3 and Xbox 360 platforms. For this year, Blizzard has deployed the Reaper of Souls expansion on PC and Mac, and it will release the core game plus the add-on on the PS4 and reportedly the Xbox One as part of the Ultimate Evil Edition.

While Blizzard is still unwilling to share a launch date for the game on PS4 and Xbox One, it did offer some more details at PAX East over the weekend, as part of a panel on the Ultimate Evil Edition.

According to Diablofans, quite a lot of special improvements are going to be a part of the new game, many of which aren't even present in the PC or Mac editions of the dungeon crawler.

First up, friends will have a chance of receiving a gift every time the player gets a legendary drop. That gift is also a legendary, but its stats aren't pre-determined. As such, they can take the item and open it for whichever character they want, ensuring they get great stats.

Items can also be sent to friends, but it's unclear if there will be restrictions and account-bound loot, such as legendary items.

One really interesting new mechanic is the Nemesis one. If a monster kills the player, he levels up and jumps into a portal that can lead him later to a friend's game. If the friend kills it, the original player gets gifts; if the monster kills him, he keeps getting stronger and jumps into another game.

Another great mode is Apprentice, which kicks in when a low-level player joins the game of a higher-level one. The system will boost the stats of the lower-level player so that they can handle the action. The XP is also slightly boosted for the more inexperienced player.

Playing as a group is also rewarded in better ways, as there's an XP bonus when playing with others and the loot is distributed by the primary stat. As such, if an item with high dexterity drops, it will be automatically given to the Demon Hunter, or a Strength item goes to the Barbarian.

Breaking things will also give players a speed boost, while massacre bonuses are going to offer more XP and even a Nephalem Glory globe.

You can expect to hear much more about Diablo 3: Ultimate Evil Edition as Blizzard finishes working on it.
