The development team at Blizzard is ready to offer a lot of details about the end of the first full Season for Diablo 3 and about the way the mode will evolve in the coming weeks and the effects gamers will observe for their characters.

The official announcement states that " Seasonal heroes will be converted to either non-Seasonal Normal or Hardcore mode heroes, as appropriate. There's no need to delete any characters to make room for them; your Seasonal heroes will continue to use the same slot they currently occupy in your roster after the rollover."

All gold gamers have earned will also be kept, as will equipment and other items, although the rules for them are slightly different depending on how they were obtained by gamers.

Blizzard is also offering all those who have reached level 70 excusive helm and shoulder look for their character, even for those who have not taken part in the Season mode.

The studio says that leaderboards will be changed but all gamers who want to brag about their achievements will be able to do so by accessing the official records.

Diablo 3 will get another season later in the spring

Once the first Season for the Blizzard title ends, the team will take some time to evaluate how the mode evolved as players engaged with it and to decide what kinds of changes it can make to improve the quality of the experience.

The studio explains, "There will be a short period of time between when a Season ends and the next begins. During this time, you’ll be able to sort through your rollover rewards and review your progress on the Leaderboards. It’s a great time to reflect on the accomplishments you’ve made and enjoy the culmination of your pre- and post-Season loot hunts!"

At the moment, the first Season is set to end on February 3, but Blizzard says that it might shift the date, although it is not clear what might influence the decision.

The community has welcomed the announcement, but plenty of gamers are saying that the end date could be moved forward because they are eager to get a fresh start with Diablo 3 Season 2.
