14 DAY TRIAL // Video game developer Blizzard has confirmed during their Gamescom press conference that Reaper of Souls is an expansion for Diablo 3, with game director Josh Mosquera taking the stage to offer a little more information on the new content.
Gamers who buy it will be able to play with a new class, the Crusader, a holy knight in heavy armor who can take out enemies with his spiritual abilities, according to the developers.
A power called Falling Sword allows him to become a lightning bolt that attacks enemies from above.
Action in Reaper of Souls will take place in Westmarch, and gamers will need to battle Malthael, the angel of death, who has taken the black soulstones of Diablo.
The expansion will also introduce more items and more options for character customization.
Blizzard is not yet ready to talk about a potential launch window.
