Diablo 3 owners who have already pre-purchased the upcoming Reaper of Souls expansion for the action RPG will be able to start pre-loading it at the end of January, ahead of its actual March 25 release date.

Diablo 3 amazed PC and Mac owners back in 2012 and delivered the same experience on consoles like the PS3 or Xbox 360 last year.

Blizzard is currently getting ready to debut Reaper of Souls, a special expansion that arrives first on the PC and Mac, and then on PS3 and Xbox 360, and finally on PS4, in the form of the Ultimate Evil edition.

Now, the studio has confirmed on Battle.net that the Reaper of Souls expansion will be available for pre-download at the end of January.

This allows those who have already pre-purchased the add-on to download the files necessary for the expansion.

Those same files will also be included in patch 2.0.1 for Diablo 3, which will appear on March 25 alongside the add-on.
