Blizzard has confirmed that it's going to organize a very special Public Test Region for Diablo 3 later this year, where players can try out the new patch 2.0.1, which brings special new mechanics like Paragon 2.0, Loot 2.0, a fresh difficulty system, as well as the improved Clans and Communities.

Diablo 3 is set to receive quite a few big changes in the near future, as Blizzard is working not only on the Reaper of Souls expansion, but also on new versions of existent mechanics like the loot or paragon systems.

Now, after confirming that the Reaper of Souls closed beta will start later this year, Blizzard has revealed on its blog that the Public Test Region will be set up at the end of the year so that all players can try out patch 2.0.1.

"This patch will feature updates including Paragon 2.0, Loot 2.0, our new difficulty system, the addition of Clans and Communities, as well as balancing and tuning for all five Diablo III classes," the studio said.

In order to access the Diablo 3 Public Test Region, owners will have to install the Battle.net Desktop App via their Battle.net account page.
