Even if it still hasn’t confirmed a concrete release date for the long awaited patch 1.1 for Diablo 3, Blizzard has once again talked about the update and revealed that it’s going to bring other features besides the Player-versus-Player mode.

Diablo 3 came out back in May and, due to the tight release schedule, developer Blizzard was forced to delay the PvP mode, promising that it’s going to release it as part of the free update 1.1.

Now, we’re getting close to the release of patch 1.0.4 and there’s still no word on when the big update will actually be out.

As part of a lengthy forum post on Battle.net, Blizzard co-founder Mike Morhaime went into detail about the things included in the Diablo 3 patch 1.1.

“We’re also working on a number of interface updates, including social improvements that will allow players to more easily view their friends’ achievements, more quickly join games, and more efficiently communicate with each other. In addition, we’ll be making updates to the auction house in the future to provide players with better information through tooltips and notices, offer improved search functionality, and more,” he said.

These things, alongside the much awaited PvP mode and other improvements will be a part of update 1.1 for Diablo 3.

“I know many of you are also looking forward to patch 1.1, our PvP update, which will provide new experiences and give you a whole new way to apply the skills you’ve picked up while battling demons. This patch will also build on the social and auction house changes I mentioned above, and the team will continue to fix bugs and further tune game balance as well.”

Sadly, Morhaime doesn’t offer a release period for the patch, so it seems that Diablo 3 players will have to wait a bit more until they can battle against others through the PvP mode.
