Diablo 3 players encountered a brand new error yesterday evening, which forced Blizzard to update the Breaking News portion of the game’s login screen with a message that also contained a new release date for the Real Money Auction House feature. That is now set to appear on June 12.

One of the most controversial features of Diablo 3, second only to the mandatory online connection, is the Auction House that uses real money, instead of in-game gold.

While the service was set to be included in the game when it was launched, Blizzard took the decision to push it back, first to May 22, then to May 30, and now sometime next month.

According to a message found by Joystiq, however, the new release date might be June 12, as a special in-game notification told players when to expect the new Auction House.

That notification has since been changed, so it’s unclear if Blizzard is actually trying to release the feature on June 12.
