The development team at Blizzard announces that all its big titles, Diablo 3, Hearthstone, Starcraft II and World of Warcraft are affected by both high latency and by disconnects in all of Europe because of a number of DDoS attacks that are aimed at European online service providers.

In an official update from the company the studio explains that, “Although Blizzard’s infrastructure isn’t targeted, the disruption effects rippled and have been felt by a portion of our players’ population. While we are closely monitoring the situation we wanted to thank you for your patience and apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.”

It’s unclear when the issues might be solved and Blizzard cannot do anything about the problems at the moment.

More info will be delivered via Twitter.

All modern titles from the company have game modes that depend heavily on Internet access and they are directly affected when the network infrastructure is not functioning as it should.

Blizzard has recently launched the Reaper of Souls expansion for Diablo 3, which introduces the new Crusader class and other game improvements.

The company is also ready to further develop Hearthstone in the coming months and an expansion for World of Warcraft is set to arrive before the end of the year.
