Blizzard confirms that, in honor of Halloween, it's doubling the amount of experience and gold Diablo 3 players can find in the game across all platforms, namely the PC, Mac, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.

Diablo 3 appeared at multiple points in time during the last couple of years, starting with the PC and Mac versions in March of 2012. Afterwards, in 2013, the game made its standard debut on the PS3 and Xbox 360 platforms. Earlier this year, the Reaper of Souls expansion launched on PC and Mac, while PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One owners were able to buy Diablo 3: Ultimate Evil Edition to get the new content.

Since all versions of the game went live, Blizzard has organized different in-game events to celebrate the release of big patches, as well as to get people to enjoy the dungeon crawling role-playing experience with others.

This Halloween, there's a new bonus available

In order to mark this year's Halloween celebration, Blizzard has confirmed on its official website that a special bonus is available inside Diablo 3 across all of its platforms.

More specifically, players will get double the amount of experience and gold when going through the game's procedurally generated levels, in addition to other bonuses granted by different items in the game.

"This weekend, we invite you to take part in a celebration honoring these ancient ghosts of the fallen. All mortals who log in to Diablo 3 this weekend on any platform will receive a +100% bonus to Gold Find and EXP! As with previous buffs, the bonuses provided will stack multiplicatively with existing in-game bonuses, including those provided by items, shrines, Pools of Reflection, and Paragon points," the studio explains.

The buff is already live on some platforms

The Halloween bonus for experience and gold should already be live in most of the game's regions across the PC, Mac, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One platforms. If not, then it will become available, depending on the territory, in the following hours.

The special weekend buff is set to conclude on Monday, November 3, at 11:59pm PST, although that timing also differs from region to region, especially on the PC platform, where the game is split in Americas, Europe, and Asia.

Even so, you might want to jump into the game sooner rather than later, in order to enjoy the buff for as long as possible on your preferred platform.
