The team wants to eliminate them for the Ultimate Evil Edition

The development team at Blizzard has just announced how gamers will be able to transfer data related to Diablo 3 between a variety of home consoles, but behind the scenes, the company has also been working to address another big problem that gamers have been reporting lately.

In an official forum announcement, a representative says that the studio has incorporated a number of changes that are designed to reduce both the impact and the prevalence of hacked items.

Apparently, Blizzard is also exploring other measures that could be implemented in order to entirely eliminate them, at least until hackers adapt.

The player community is reporting some issues with the update on the PlayStation 3, but they also claim that they are seeing many gamers with decreased DPS numbers, which might be a sign that what the developers are doing is currently working.

Hacking allows some players to equip their characters with items that are much more powerful than those which are naturally generated by the game.

The Ultimate Evil Edition for Diablo 3 will be launched on August 19 and will incorporate the Reaper of Souls expansion, with its new quest line and the Crusader class.

Gamers who play on consoles can enjoy local cooperative multiplayer, but there will be no cross platform play.
