14 DAY TRIAL // Video game developer Blizzard has announced that it is aiming to celebrate the fact that the Reaper of Souls expansion for Diablo 3 was launched one year ago and has delivered solid changes to the title with a special boost for all players, which allows them to get a 100 percent bonus to both gold find and experience for the coming week.
The official Battle.net announcement adds, "As with previous buffs, the bonuses provided will stack multiplicatively with existing in-game bonuses, including those provided by items, Shrines, Pools of Reflection, and Paragon points."
This means that, for truly dedicated Diablo 3 players, the boost will offer them a chance to get loads of new gold and to boost their characters just as the game is getting ready to launch a new season.
The bonus period will start at exactly 00:00 AM Pacific Daylight Time on Monday, March 23, and will end at 11:59 PDT on Monday, March 30.
For those who are playing Diablo 3 on home consoles, the extra gold and XP are only offered for the Ultimate Evil Edition, and on the PC times will vary based on where in the world a player is located.
Blizzard is not saying whether it has plans for other in-game events in order to mark the launch of Reaper of Souls, which introduced a new storyline, the Crusader class and plenty of tweaks to the core mechanics.
Diablo 3 is soon getting another major patch
The developers have already revealed that they will be ending Season 2 for Diablo 3 on April 5 and that they are planning to then implement the 2.2.0 update for the experience, which is designed to introduce a range of tweaks and to better balance all classes.
A full list of the changes made has not been offered, but its features are being tested on the PTR at the moment and all those interested can offer their opinion.
Once the new patch is out gamers will be able to take part in Season 3 for Diablo 3 starting on April 10, with a host of new rewards for all those involved.
Blizzard has said that it has plans to continue to develop and introduce new content for its action RPG in the coming years.
