Blizzard has confirmed that the anniversary increase in the drop rate of legendary items will remain in the action role-playing experience, as a token of gratitude to all the loyal players.

Diablo 3 celebrated its two-year anniversary last week and developer Blizzard marked this occasion with a temporary one-week buff to the drop rate of legendary items as well as rift keystones.

As such, a huge amount of players went back to the RPG, either in its standard edition or in the Reaper of Souls expansion.

Now, after gathering feedback early this week, Blizzard has confirmed that the buff to legendary drop rate will remain in place after the anniversary ends.

"Due to the overwhelming popularity of our Anniversary buff we have decided to keep the increased Legendary drop rate once the Anniversary celebration ends. Once the buff is disabled tomorrow morning, you will find that the new base line drop rates for Legendary items will be the same as those you have all enjoyed for the last week," the studio said on the Battle.net forums.

As such, players can expect to find way more legendary items when going through the game. However, the buff to rift keystones will go away, so you might want to farm them before the anniversary expires.
