The development team at Blizzard in charge of Diablo 3 announces that the video game is currently affected by high latency for a significant number of players and that it is investigating the issue and hoping to implement a solution soon.

The problem seems to have appeared after a longer period during which the entire game creation process was affected and the studio is asking all those who are impacted to post on the forums and share details.

Blizzard explains in an official post that, "We don't have have an ETA on when this issue may be resolved for all players, but it remains a priority for us at this time and we'll continue to provide updates as they become available."

High latency is a big problem as the action heavy nature of Diablo 3 and can make the entire experience unplayable, which is an issue given that the company has worked hard to get as many players to return to the title ahead of the launch of Reaper of Souls.

The expansion is set to be delivered on March 25 on the PC and the Mac.

It will include the Crusader class, with its unique set of abilities and powers, an entire new act of quests to explore and more enemies to battle.
