Showtime is getting ready for the fall premiere of one of its biggest shows ever, the killer series “Dexter,” whose seventh season kicks off in September. Below is a brand new trailer for it.

Fans should be happy to know that it brings the first hints of Deb's reaction to learning the truth about her half-brother Dexter.

Season 6 of “Dexter” ended with Deb (Jennifer Carpenter) walking in on Dexter (Michael C. Hall) as he was ritualistically performing one of his kills – but not before realizing she had strong, unsisterly feelings towards him.

Because of this, because writers and producers finally made the big reveal as regards the beloved character, anticipation for season 7 is sky-high.

This new clip doesn't offer a lot of hints as to what will happen next, but it does bring a few. For one, Deb's reaction will be predictable: “Step away from the body!,” “Jesus, Dexter!”

It will also show Dexter dealing with the biggest obstacle of his life: he has embraced the darkness in him, his Dark Passenger, but he will now be forced to find out whether Deb, the only person for whom he nurtures real feelings of strong affection, can do the same too.

“They say truth brings light. It's the lies that live in darkness. But here we are, in the moment of truth,” Dexter says in voiceover.

“Everything in my life has brought me to this point. It's what I am. It's all I am. I can accept that but can she?” he asks.

“Dexter” is based on the series of novels by Jeff Lindsay, and tells the story of a blood spatter specialist with the Miami Police Department who moonlights as a serial killer, ridding the world of criminals who escape justice through legal loopholes.

It's the only way Dexter has of “taming” his Dark Passenger, which, in turn, allows him to lead a seemingly normal life.

Deb is his half-sister; until the end of season 6, she had no idea of the dark secrets Dexter hid from her.

Season 7 premieres on Showtime on September 30.
