14 DAY TRIAL // The development team at 2K Marin says that the tactical experience offered by The Bureau: XCOM Declassified will be deeper than that of the Mass Effect series, with a focus on the unique feature of the franchise.
Morgan Gray, the creative director at 2K Marin, tells Gamespot that, “But you can do a lot more in terms of movement, positioning, and building these little plans. That, to us, is the heart of XCOM.”
The main feature of The Bureau is called Battle Focus and allows players to basically slow down time while they issue commands to the members of their squad and activate special powers.
XCOM Declassified is also set to include a number of hardcore features, including permanent death for characters who don’t get medical attention on the battlefield.
The game is expected to launch in late August on the PC and home consoles.
