Code-savvy individuals enrolled with Apple’s annual developer programs should know that Apple is already accepting iOS 6 applications. The software is slated to reach the public September 19.

Apple this week sent out a quick reminder to developers, stating that “We review all apps to ensure they are reliable, perform as expected, and are free of offensive material.”

The Cupertino giant then notified said developers that iOS 6 was coming and that they should prepare their apps for submission.

Coders are thus encouraged to “download the GM seeds for iOS 6 and Xcode 4.5 and test your existing apps for compatibility.”

Before submitting their new or updated apps for review, developers must also remember to check out the latest App Store Review Guidelines for iOS. The Mac documentation is also updated, for what it’s worth. Developers, get coding!
