Another developer is suggesting that the new home console from Microsoft will need to be always connected to the Internet in order to get access to content and play games.

Tomasz Gop is the former leader of the Witcher team at CD Projekt RED and is currently working on a new game called Lords of the Fallen.

He tells Eurogamer, “Very brave, so to speak, decision from Microsoft.”

He adds, “there are people who do not have internet, but probably most of them know that it wouldn't even make sense in their case to own a current-gen console.”

The most recent rumors are saying that the Xbox 720 will only require an Internet connection to authenticate games and that playing them offline will be possible.

An official announcement from Microsoft is expected to arrive on May 21.
